Game Play Instructions

How to Play

Play Maze online for free. Maze is a HTML game where players must guide the ball through the labyrinth maze to reach the exit before the time runs out. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

  • Starting the Game
    • Click or tap the the blue play arrow button on the opening screen.
    • Select your preferred difficulty. It ranges from easy, medium and hard. The game will randomly generate a maze for you depending on your choice.
    • Buttons on Top of the Game
      • On the upper right corner is the sound button. Click or tap it to mute or unmute the music and sound effects.
      • On the upper left corner is the full screen button. Click or tap it to put your view on full screen mode. To return from the full screen view, press ESC on your keyboard.
      • Clicking the button with the “i” icon displays information on the game developer.
      • Game Controls
        • Touchscreen
          • Using your finger, press on the white ball on the screen.
          • Drag the ball towards your intended direction across the screen. Make sure to press firmly.
          • Slide the ball left, right, up, or down. Guide it as fast as possible through the maze.
            • Mouse and Keyboard
              • Use directional arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate the ball through the maze.
                • The keys might get stuck from time to time. Just press a key twice and the ball will move again.
                • Using your right mouse button, you can also hold and drag the circle. But using your mouse to guide the ball may not be as responsive as the directional arrow keys.
                  • Use whichever control option you’re most comfortable with to finish the maze faster.
                  • Game Difficulty and Time Limit
                    • Select your preferred maze difficulty. Choose from easy, normal, or hard.
                      • You have 90 seconds to complete an Easy maze.
                      • You have 120 seconds to complete a Normal maze.
                      • You have 180 seconds to complete a Hard maze.
                      • Restarting, Pausing, or Exiting the Game
                        • The reset button is in the upper right portion of the screen. Click or tap it to restart the game and timer.
                          • Each time you reset, you’ll notice a different maze appears on screen. One of the challenges of this game is you cannot go back to the original maze. Each time you reset, you are given a random maze based on the difficulty you selected. Take note of this before resetting a game.
                          • To pause the game, click or tap the “X” button at the upper right corner of the screen.
                            • To resume the game, click or tap the “X” button This will return you to the game.
                            • To exit the game and go back to the opening screen, click of tap the check button.
                            • Strategy
                              • The game is a simple and straightforward maze game. You must navigate the ball throughout the labyrinth to reach the exit within the required time limit. To score higher points, finish the maze level as soon as possible.
                              • It’s best if you plan your path ahead of time. Use a couple of seconds of your time to examine the maze level.
                                • Avoid routes that lead to dead ends. This way, you wouldn’t need to waste time going back to the right path.
                                  • Select the difficulty level you prefer. This game practices spatial intelligence, direction, and patience.
                                    • If you want to challenge yourself further, play in hard mode. This provides puzzle levels with more complex passages. Enjoy trying to beat your best score.
