How to Play

Play Don't Bug Me online for free. Don't Bug Me is a pixel-based idle tapping game where your job is to annoy the crap out of the occupants of each room. Interact with various items to look for ways to annoy the people inside the rooms. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

  • Starting the Game
    • On the welcome screen:
      • Select New Game to begin.
      • Select Continue to resume the game where you last left off.
      • Select Collectables to check out your collection of items you picked up.
      • Select Controls to learn about the games controls.
      • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
      • Game Controls
        • Desktop
          • With your mouse, select within the game environment by left clicking.
            • Left click when the cursor shows a pointing hand to interact.
            • Left click and drag when the cursor shows a grabbing hand to move an object.
            • With your keyboard, use the Esc or P keys to open the pause menu.
              • Touchscreen devices
                • Although the game might load on touchscreen devices, its controls were optimized for desktops with keyboards.
                • Game Play
                  • Level selection
                    • You can access the level selection screen through the following means:
                      • Selecting Continue on the welcome screen.
                      • Opening the pause menu and choosing Level Select
                      • Levels are unlocked in sequence. The first level segues to the second level as soon as you finish it, and so on.
                      • You can replay any of the levels you’ve unlocked.
                      • Basic rules
                        • Interact with the world and find novel ways to annoy the crap out of the inhabitants of the game.
                          • You can interact with items that turn your cursor into a pointing hand.
                          • You can move items that when your cursor turns into a grabbing hand.
                          • You will sometimes be able to pick up items. You can access them in an inventory on the upper right corner of the screen.
                          • Use doors to move through rooms.
                          • The fewer clicks you make, the higher your star rating will be at the end of the level. The maximum star level is 3.

                              • Bedroom
                                • Ring the alarm clock near the bed.
                                • Bathroom
                                  • Drag the toilet paper into the toilet and flush.
                                  • Select the cold tap on the bathtub.
                                  • Basement
                                    • Turn on the lamp at the center of the room.
                                    • Take the nerd’s energy drink and pour it on the modem.
                                    • Select the nerd’s phone and set it on factory reset.
                                    • Give the last slice of pizza to the cat.
                                    • Garden
                                      • Open the bag of carrots
                                      • Bring a carrot to the bunny hutch.
                                      • Grab the bunny that comes out of the hutch and place them in the garden.
                                      • Go to the shed and pick up a pair of pliers.
                                      • Cut the wire of the electric mower using the pliers.
                                      • Vampire’s Lair
                                        • Grab a candle and set fire to a string of charms on the wall. The vampire will snuff them out.
                                        • Open the crate on the top left corner to open a bunch of wine glasses.
                                        • Pour wine on the glass and give it to the vampire. Grab the key when he drops it.
                                        • Open the curtains near the vampire’s coffin, then select the vampire’s portrait.
                                        • Select the key and open the windows to let the light shine through.
                                        • Girl’s Room
                                          • Go outside and open the bag of bird seed.
                                          • Grab the bird seed and pour it on the satellite dish. An enormous bird will land on it.
                                          • This will disrupt the TV inside.
                                          • Go back inside and turn off the light near the door.
                                          • Office
                                            • Select the clock.
                                            • Go to the filing room and select the third drawer from the right. Pick up the papers.
                                            • Return to the office and drop the files on the lady’s desk.
                                            • Select the lady’s computer. On the computer screen, drag the important work files and delete them.
                                            • Select the lazy dude’s computer. On the screen, turn on the deadline alarm.
                                            • Coffee house
                                              • Salt in the coffee
                                                • Put the salt shaker near the barista’s coffee maker.
                                                • Select the lady using the computer to have her order coffee.
                                                • Let’s get loud!
                                                  • Select the lady’s MP3 player to make her earphones get loud.
                                                  • Things are about to get smelly:
                                                    • Create a fishing line.
                                                      • Select the tweezers and cut off the garland above the door. Pick up one of the strings.
                                                      • Select one of the hooks in the barista’s counter.
                                                      • Go outside and select the tree. Grab the branch.
                                                      • Drag the branch to the string to make a fishing pole. Drag this to the hook to finish the tool.
                                                      • Select the fishing pole and go to the puddle to get the fish.
                                                      • Select the fish, go back indoors, and place the fish in the microwave.
                                                      • Library
                                                        • Ring the alarm bell.
                                                        • Summon a demon.
                                                          • Read about summoning demons using the purple book in the shelves on the top left corner.
                                                          • Move the library’s ladder and pick up the scary mask.
                                                          • Place the mask on the table.
                                                          • Get the candles and the chalk.
                                                            • Go to the other room.
                                                            • Grab the matches on the shelf on the top left and drag them to the candles. Pick up the lit candles.
                                                            • Pick up the chalk.
                                                            • Lay down the chalk and the candles to complete the summoning circle.
                                                            • Pool
                                                              • Go to the pool house and check out the lifeguard schedule table near the locked door.
                                                              • Change the schedule of the current lifeguard. This would be the 2:00 shift. Move it down to get her to leave.
                                                              • Once she’s gone, go back outside to pick up the keys.
                                                              • Use the keys to open the locked door.
                                                              • Select the cabinet on the top left to find the computer password.
                                                              • Select the terminal and drag the computer password to the dialog box.
                                                              • This lets you activate the wave machine. Choose unlocked, then close the monitor.
                                                              • Go back outside and flip the switch of the wave machine.
                                                              • Collectables
                                                                • There are 2 types of collectables in this game:
                                                                  • You win bugs by selecting them onscreen. Their cards are shown on the tables
                                                                    • You win items by finishing a level while collecting the bug.
